I think that often I forget how beautiful the world is. Things are glorious if I just stop and actually look at them.
I counted, and I have sixty-seven mosquito bites.
Class starts Monday. I think I'm looking forward to it. I can't decide. I need to review...わたしは とても わるい がくせい です。(or something to that effect...*fails*) *laughs*

| I'm a little bit afraid. The whole business is exceedingly preposterous (and stfu LLM--I'm sorry that I read...?). Pfeh.
I quit.

| Anime convention + adorable cat ears + black light = funny quote
I dressed up like Reno and felt awkward and shy. (I'm sorry, Grace, I couldn't think of a not-creeper way of saying "Hey, I read your xanga sometimes and I'm really happy to meet you!" So I ran off and felt stupid instead.) It was a blast, though. Mallory's Guy Fawkes mask was really terrifying. ;__; I bet Marisa could've fixed it. With surgery.

| Wheeew, I haven't been here in a while have I? It seems so funny now. The colors are all quasi-claustrophobic. *laughs*
Anyway, I was talking to Kuro the other day, and we had such an AWESOME conversation, I wanted write about it. Last week was her spring break, and some people from her IVCF chapter did a missions thing in the inner city here in town. Man, she came back with the BEST STORIES.
One of the leaders was talking to her about all sorts of things, and he mentioned that recently his pastor had asked him if he had repented of his righteousness lately. "My righteousness? You're asking if I've repented for being good to my wife and wha?" The pastor reminded him of the passage of Isaiah where it says that our righteousness is like dirty rags. (Dirty rags--> old menstrual rags--> used tampons) As people, the very best we can muster is used tampons. "Look God! Look at what I did!" Er, right.
Do you know what's so fantastic about that? We can admit, "Yeah, we kinda suck." We don't have to try and pretend otherwise. We don't have to earn anything. This is something I've been told all my life, but only just now has hit me.
Which reminds me. Nathan and I watched The Matrix the other day. Have you seen the Matrix trilogy? The first one is awesome (kung fu and leather XD), but the other two are fairly dismal. Anyway, Nathan and I talked about how once Neo comes into his own as "The One," the story becomes a lot less engaging. There's no story if the hero is one hundred percent unbeatable. Like Superman without kryptonite. I mean, what's that all about? Spiderman or Batman would be way more engaging.
I think that's one of the reasons Jesus was a poor carpenter from some backwater town--it's so much more romantic. Rather than bursting down onto the earth on some magnificent steed, bullets bouncing off his chest, and subduing humanity in one fell swoop, he walked everywhere and probably smelled funny. He loved people. He laughed and cried and ate and played with kids and told stories and died in the most gruesome fashion of the day. but just when your heart breaks, just when all hope has faded--HE STINKING RISES FROM THE DEAD. (!!!) I'm having a difficult time expressing how amazing the whole story is. It's just...beautiful.
*laughs* Hey. guess what time it is? It's nearly five in the morning. >_< I am soooo gonna be a mess all day. ^_^;
grace and peace, darlings.
